Line was hanging in powerlines next to the road. A car had already run over the line spool and the balloon was nowhere to be seen. Sonde was intact and still operating on the ground at the edge of the road.

Recovered together with VE3IRR. This one landed a month earlier, and VE3IRR had collected the exact coordinates on the night of the landing. As expected, it was on a ditch bank. After a difficult walk through a few meters of thorns, the sonde was recovered from the ground. The string was draped over trees, making it impractical to recover the balloon.

Recovered together with VE3IRR. This was a twin launch from iMet headquarters in Grand Rapids. The other sonde attached to the balloon was 0EB57D5B. We made contact with the landowner, who had already found and recovered it by the time we arrived. The sonde was labelled with serial number 85738.
